I'm a West Texas photographer, creative, rancher's wife, and mama who has always been drawn to real stories, beautiful places and the people who make them meaningful.

I am based just outside of Fort Stockton, where the landscape is wide, the skies are big, the wind always blows and there's usually a horse nearby. I travel throughout Far West Texas and beyond, photographing weddings, elopements and the people and places that make them feel like their own.

The Roaming Coyote was born years ago from that love of storytelling and connection. I want to photograph the things you'll remember years from now, including the moment's you didn't realize were happening at the time.
My work is influenced by the West Texas landscape and the way I experience it: warm and honest. I've always loved the feelings of old Italian photographs. The one's that are grainy black and white, imperfect frames, cinematic light and images that feel like you could step into. I pull that same feeling into the way I approach capturing your story.

I am drawn to natural light, movement, good composition, genuine connection and all the little things that make the story yours! My editing leans warm and true to life, with a subtle film-inspired feel.

I feel incredibly lucky to tell other people's stories for a living. To step into someone's world for a day, witness the people they love and turn those fleeting moments into something they can keep forever... that's the part of this work I never take for granted.

I feel incredibly blessed to use my creativity to preserve moments that get to be cherished for years to come.

Joy

Horse girl

Growing up I was really close with my Aunt (my mom's sister) and had an extremely strong bond with her. In 2014, we found out that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. From that moment forward, I knew that I needed to make every moment count and to take advantage of the time we had together.

In 2016 we took a road trip to see family in Colorado. Just me and her. It was emotional for me because we were having so much fun yet, I knew the inevitable. Life isn't promised. But there was joy in the knowing that I was soaking it all in - the time that we did have.

I then thought, I just had to have some candid photos of us "running the roads" as she would say. We were always going somewhere and I loved that. Unfortunately, I never got around to scheduling with a photographer and those photos don't exist. It's something that has bothered me since.

After her passing my mom was sorting all of her mail, jewelry and just getting things sorted out when she found a small turquoise pin. That pin is something you will see me not only wearing on my hat, but also on my arm. I digitalized the pin and had it tattooed on my left arm so she's always running the roads with me.

I believe that it's so special to have relationships like I had with her. I also feel that when you find someone like that, you should really cherish all the moments you are given. My goal as a photographer and what makes this fulfilling to me is to not only bring joy to others but to make sure they always can look back and feel that joy.

This is my why.

Joy is my why.

I'd be honored to capture that for you.

Candidly and authentically.

It's important to get down to the nitty gritty on why these images are important to you. Knowing your story pre-session helps me communicate your story in art form.

My style is actually capturing all the moments - not the perfect posed images. I'm after emotion and genuine moments, even if that means breaking the "photography" rules.
